Club Policies
Dress Code
Proper attire must be worn on the Golf Course and when using our Practice Facilities. As a reminder, guests are expected to follow these guidelines as well:
- Men: Men must wear a shirt with a collar, tucked in to either shorts or slacks. All hats must face forward. Rock Hill Country Club does not permit T-shirts, swim trunks, gym attire or denim on the golf course under any circumstances. All players who utilize the facilities will be required to dress in accordance with RHCC by-laws.
- Ladies: Ladies must wear a shirt with an acceptable collar if the shirt does not have sleeves. If the shirt has sleeves, a collar is not required. Sleeveless shirts are acceptable when they cover the entire shoulder. Rock Hill County Club does not permit T-shirts, strapless tops, bottoms with drawstrings, or denim on the golf course.
- Guests: If your guest shows up to the club and is not dressed in proper attire, they will not be asked to leave property. The host member will be notified that their guest is in breach of policy and the guest will be required to change attire before teeing off.
- Children: Children who plan to access the golf course are expected to wear appropriate attire. If your child is of the age to swing a golf club, they should follow the RHCC dress code.
- Practice Facilities: When members or guests are utilizing practice facilities, RHCC Dress Code still applies. Members and guests who are utilizing practice areas and not in compliance with the dress code will be asked to change their attire.
Pace of Play
An unimpeded foursome or fivesome is expected to play 18 holes in 4 hours, or less. If the course is not busy, please allow faster players to play through as soon as you notice them. If the course is busy, your proper place is directly behind the group in front of you. You are expected to keep the interval between your group and the group in front of you the same as when you teed off. Consult the Golf Shop if you aren’t sure what to do.
Golf Carts
Only drive golf carts through the rough to get from the cart path to the fairway. Park with all four tires on the cart path always. Avoid low, stressed, or wet areas on the fairways. Keep carts off all par three holes. Keep carts out of natural areas. To drive a golf cart, you must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license.
Ball Marks, Divots and Bunkers
Fix your ball marks plus any other ball marks you see on the greens. Fill all divots with sand which is provided on each golf cart. Do not enter or exit bunkers by climbing up or down a steep face (bunker bank). Rake bunkers after use and leave bunker rakes in the bunkers.
Lightning
In the event of inclement weather Golf Staff will notify players on course by the following procedures. When the lightning is detected, staff will sound one long horn blast, all players must immediately cease play and return directly to the clubhouse. When it is safe to return to the course, staff, will sound three short blasts. Enforcement of this policy is zero tolerance as it is critical to reduce the club's liability.
Music
Music on the course is allowed. Please be courteous to your playing partners as well as other golfers as the golf course is compact with many adjacent tees, fairways, and greens.
